All right, folks, it's my last rec!  I know you're all just crushed you won't be seeing the plague rat every day in your friend lists.  :P
Well, I hope you enjoyed my tyrannical abuse of reccing powers as much as I did, and on that note, I leave you with probably the most sober fic of the lot--even though I've categorized it under the loose definition of "Christmas fic."

Why this must be read:

In spite of the title, this actually doesn’t have much to do with Christmas. However, this is easily one of my most favourite works of fanfiction, for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it’s one of the best characterizations of Simm!Master that I’ve ever seen—the gestures he makes, his train of thought, his ruthlessness and playfulness all rolled up beautifully. Second of all, his reaction when he finds out is just perfect, and there is nothing more appealing to me in the Doctor/Master dynamic than when they are admiring each other’s minds. Third of all, I just adore the ending. There isn’t an ounce of crack or fluff in this one, but rather just a twisted sense of rightness, and that, quite simply, is what makes this fic amazing.
