Best Enemies

Our current role play mod and developer had to step down due to some personal commitments.

I am now looking for a /group/ of people to share the burdens and awesomenesses of modding the RP. While its quiet now, there are a LOT of interested people, both currently playing and hovering around, and some exciting possibilities. COMMITMENTPHOBIA:

* You do NOT have to commit your life to this, or have all the experience ever in and of yourself--that's the point of having a team of mods. Share the looooooad, as Samwise would say in a time-warping voiceover.
* You do not need to be free JUST THIS SECOND--we know it's NaNo/Diwali/coming up on Thanksgiving and Christmas/almost exams--this is a long-term thing, so if you want to mod and feel you can, when the shit's calmed down a bit, apply, please!


AND YOU:

* You do not have to like, club together and come forward--anyone interested should just PM me individually, and I'll fit together a mod-team.
* You don't have to currently be a b_e mod in any way, shape or form, or so steeped in Old Who it bleeds out your eyeballs. Newbies welcome! All we ask is a willingness to /get/ familiar with the necessary material, and we'll be more than willing to help you our there.
* You can be one of the players or not--either's fine.


EXPERIENCE HAS MADE ME RICH/AND NOW THEY'RE AFTER ME:

* You do not necessarily need experience running an RP OR RPing for years and years. I really want /some/ of the mods to have it, but if you have other strengths (good world builder/organizer/communicator/strong writer and developer, etc.), those are *highly* necessary elements of the team. Just tell me about them!
* If you have experience with RP, that is fantastic, and I'd love to hear about it!


SO:

Please PM me with a short note saying you're interested, and maybe a sentence or two on why you are, or what you've done before, or what you want to do with the game, or your questions on the topic. You know, not a super-formal application, just give me something more to work with than a bare name. My only absolute requirements are that you must be a good communicator and flexible enough to work with others (both players and fellow team members).

Some little time ago I was having an electronic tête-à-tête with a b_e member. As I passed the internet!scones and insisted she take a bit of e!clotted cream, I bewailed the appalling fact that no one had stepped up to mod the best_enemies RP com, the_imperiatrix.

"The name's a BFA joke, not a promise!" I whined like a tornado siren on the first Wednesday of the month. "Surely my piteous cries to the effect that I have no idea what I'm doing will elicit assistance, for I have always relied on the kindness of strangers!"

My companion e!blinked. "You--you don't?"

"Noooooo," I wailed like Captain Ahab, "No, I have no IDEA how to run an RP, and just want someone or several someones with some experience--with ANY experience--to Make It Go."

"Oh," she e!fidgeted, "I, er--I think everyone thought you were going to..."

ALAS DEAR READERS, this is not the RP mod you're looking for. If there is interest in stuff like the stuff discussed on the_imperiatrix coming to fruition, I need a Hero. Because this is not my thing. At all. And yet The People have spoken: they want a best_enemies RP, and so should have one.

If you have /any/ experience and would like to take over this project, pm me, we'll chat, and I'll hand the conch over to you. You should be ready to be kind of democratic about the development and running of the thing, but with people in the RP rather than answering to me in any sense. I don't care what you do, as long as this thing which has the com's name on it/is for the com members is

1) in some way answerable to their needs and wishes, and
2) is not embarrassingly shite.

If no one slightly qualified wants the job, we'll have to consider the project shelved/dead until such a person comes forward.
