Intro Digest 11: In which Erin finally polishes off a page of comments yessss
Hello, everyone, I'm Psi Fi! I've lurked here for a couple of months now and joined recently.
I watched a bit of the fourth Doctor when I was a child, but only got deeply into Doctor Who when the New!Who episode Midnight aired. I am a huge fan of both Classic and New Who.
Watching The Sound of Drums was my first introduction to the Master and I liked him a lot. I didn't really start shipping him with the Doctor at first. In fact, I was leaning towards shipping the Doctor and Jack. ::hangs head:: Then, a few months ago, I bought and watched The Five Doctors. I fell *hard* for Ainley!Master and Doctor/Master became my OTP. :D There is something adorably witty and charming about Ainley's Master. I love all of the Masters, though I've only seen a little of Delgado!Master, however.
I'm not sure what to say about my personal fanon. I do think it's likely that Theta and Koschei did at the least some teenage groping. I do believe poor Koschei heard the drums from the time he was a small boy.
I also believe that, despite the harsh judgements of the Doctor and his companions, that the Master is not purely evil. According to Family of Blood, everything John Smith is and was, the Doctor was capable of. To me this says that whatever characteristics their Human personas have, the Time Lords have as well. Professor Yana was very sweet and I think that sweetness is part of the Master...albeit a deeply, deeply buried part.
I believe the Doctor is the natural top in their relationship, no matter what the Master would have us believe. I love the moment in Last of the Time Lords, when the Doctor orders the Master to hand over his toy...and the Master obeys, looking like a sulky, reluctant little boy! <3
I love that there is so much canon to support this pairing and how their relationship ebbs and flows the way a real life one would. :)

Hello everybody! I'm Denise, and I like the Doctor and the Master. Yay!
But no, seriously, I really enjoy their dynamics on screen together. It's one of my favorite relationships out of all of the different fandoms I'm in. So basically, I'm the exact same as all the rest of you. Right then, carry on.
Hi everyone. I'm Ruth. I was introduced to Dr. Who with the first episode of Nine, and I've been addicted ever since. And when the Master was introduced, well, my fandom gained an OTP.
As for my personal fandom, Ariastar pretty much sums it up here. http://ariafic.livejournal.com/9695.html#cutid1
Just doing the intro thing. I am a youngin so the new who was my first intro into whodom but I have gone back and watched some of the older stuff, movie of course. And obviously, I love the Doctor-Master dynamic. I need to go back and watch more of the old Master for sure!
Anyhow, hello!
Hallo, Toast here! My introduction to the Master was Simm!Master, and of course him and Ten is one of my OTPs. But I have only just started watching the classic series and I am a big fan of Five/Ainley!Master too now. >>
Hi all.
Just dropping by to say hello and introduce myself.
I am rather new to Doctor Who; just started watching this summer so I have only seen so much. I have seen most all of the Tenth Doctor and some of the Ninth. But I'm sorta behind on the others and I really hope to catch up as I find time. =D
And I kinda sorta just fell in love with Doctor/Master dynamic in the New Who series. =DD
Umm, well, thats about it atm.
