Hello! Long time lurker, finally I meet the world. I love all of Doctor/Master, because let's admit it,Doctor/Master= OTP!
I must say that until now I've seen only the New Who episodes and some of the serials with Three/Delgado, 'cause here in Italy, Doctor Who is practically unknown to the masses (blasphemy!) and I have to search them on the net but I promise to catch up ASAP!
Hello everyone! (I'm really terrible with intros, so sorry for that).
Though technically this is still a RP/fanfic journal you can also find me under damnated. Well, I've only got into Doctor Who back when the new seasons started airing here in Portugal, but throughout those years and even more recently I've become really interested with the older seasons. Haven't watched it all yet but I hope to do so someday. :)
Of course, I'm here because I like Master/Doctor and I've wrote a couple fics about them -- though maybe my reasoning for the pairing to exist isn't the best. Anyway! I've really gone down from Ten/Simm!Master to classic Master/Doctor pairings, so maybe that's another reason for me to be here.
I'm not making much sense, am I? :(
Hello. :) I've always been ridiculously quiet in LJ fandom, but I'm joining because this is the ship that killed (almost) all my other fandoms and made me suddenly monogamous.
I didn't get into the fandom until about three months ago, started with New Who. Doctor/Master hit me like a sledgehammer - it's just that perfect mix of dark and twisted and impossible and inevitable that hits all my buttons in all the right ways. So I finished up with New Who as quickly as possible and am now wandering over to the classic series. I've only seen four and a half serials with the Master so far (Terror of the Autons, Sea Devils, Logopolis, Mark of the Rani, and half of Castrovalva) because I could only get my brother to buy Romana episodes and didn't find everything online till later. Trying now to get through at least the D/M serials as quickly as possible without burning myself out.
Ten/Simm (and Ten/Yana, because their interaction really kills me) is still really special to me, since post-apocalyptic is my genre like nothing else, but I adore Three/Delgado as well, and can you get any more canon than that? Nothing says "I love you" like stealing parts of your TARDIS and leaving you stranded on Earth too.
Personal fanon? Totally convinced the Doctor failed his exams the first time around because he was too preoccupied with the Master to prepare. Or to show up. Either that or the Master just sabotaged him out of spite. Oh, yes.
Hello!
I've sort of been lurking around LJ for FAR TOO LONG NOW and secretly writing fanfiction of the mostly Doctor/Master variety and only showing it to my close friends. Then one of them threatened to beat me up if I didn't get an account and start posting some of it up and, you know, actually doing community stuff. Which was quite right of her, actually.
I mostly got into fandom through New Who (except for the times when I was very little and managed to wake up in time to hear the sound of the theme music and run downstairs to watch a re-run) but have been dilligently catching up on my Old Who through the cunning method of finding Whovian friends with more money than I (and thus more Old Who DVDs) and suggesting a weekly Who-watching night. (And I shall be making excellent use of the links in the side bar, ohhhh yes, where to begin?)
Personal fanon... hmmm. Secretly I play around with the idea that Shalka is some kind of alternate post-Time War timeline (because Shalka!Master and Yana are both played by Sir Derek Jacobi, so my head then declares them the same regeneration (or, well, a robotic recreation of the same regeneration)) which splits off from the one we know in that the Time Lords decided to tell the Doctor that the Master had been brought back, they ended up working together, and between them saved Gallifrey (BECAUSE UNITED THEY CAN DO ANYTHING, UNLESS THEY'RE DISTRACTED BY SEX, YES?) And this at some point involved Eight dying and regenerating into Shalka!Doctor instead of Eccleston's Nine, and the Master dying and being brought back as a robot, etc., and I think this introduction has gone on quite long enough.
Your personal fanon is remarkably similar to mine! I have seriously always that. I've also toyed with the idea that Shalka!Nine is how the Doctor's timeline was *supposed* to go, but the Time War wrecked all havoc with everyone's timeline, so he became Proper!Nine instead. (And of course, in this alternate timeline, the Master is still alive [or at least a robot] and there's all sorts of sexing going on.) (One of these days I will write some sort of fic based on this idea...)
Anyway, I'm a long time lurker, because for some reason I am really shy on online communities, but you guys seem so awesome and talented that I have to say hi. I got into Master/Doctor mostly because Simm!Doctor is so delightfully insane (I have a big thing for chaotic evil characters) and got into other incarnations of the pairings through this awesome community and its fic. :)
