I hope that this fits the disguise challenge - it's definitely an outfit, but definitely not a disguise. The idea - of Simm!Master and Ten dressing up as their former selves, is from a story by x_los (or the comments thread for a story by x_los), who I hope won't mind my stealing her idea.

Wa-hey! I've taken over the next round of reccing duties, and hopefully I can share some love for some of the less well-represented Doctor/Master matchups, who deserve no less love despite being of possibly dubious canonicity. Which brings me to my first rec:

Why this must be read: Because what bagheera_san does here is take all those unanswered questions from Scream of the Shalka (Why is REG!Nine so emo? How did he come to be living with an android incarnation of the Master? What's up with their answering machine?) and weave a breathtakingly gorgeous backstory for the Shalka!verse's Doctor and Master and how they came to be. This story would so definitely be my personal canon, if, you know, Shalka were canon.
