Drabble Challenge inspired story

I've been lurking around the edges of this comm for a while, and I was reading the drabble challenge post last night, and I found the discussion about bagheera_san's drabble and Shalka very inspiring. So much so that I ended up staying up too late writing and decided to actually post the not-in-any-way-a-drabble that I ended up with instead of hiding it away like usual. Hope this is ok?

Evil Doctor AUs

There's a comment/prompt (I'm honestly not quite sure what it is) in our anon meme that I find really interesting: the Doctor would probably make a better villain than the Master, but I think the Master might make a better hero than the Doctor

Come on, surely someone must have written this glaringly obvious AU where the Doctor is evil and the Master is good? I've seen a couple of evil!Doctor fics, but if they're D/M, usually they team up and are evil together, or the Master corrupts the Doctor. But what about a story where positions are reversed from the start? Are there any like that?

What kind of villain would the Doctor be? We've seen him coldblooded (Valeyard) and mad (Zagreus), but I think the most fun would be a dark trickster version of him, where he's just a little on the evil side of chaotic and mischievous.
