It's Friday! Where I am, anyway. The recent discussion on the watching party has reminded me that I don't understand time zones at all. Anyway, Friday means that I'm posting another rec.
Title: In Dreams
Pairing: Doctor/Master (both classic and new who regenerations)
Length: 3,000 odd
Warnings: none

rude_not_ginger. Teaspoon is here.
Why this must be read: This is a story about the Doctor's dreams, and it follows the illogic of dreams very well. The Doctor moves through his regenerations indiscriminately, and each incarnation is captured accurately and deftly. And then there's the Master, and each of his regeneration receive the same careful treatment. I love this story for the way it examines their relationship in bursts of introspection and interaction, but the characterization is really what makes it work. It's also extremely subtle. Every time I read this, I catch a line I missed before that gives the whole thing another angle, a little more depth.
