This is (almost certainly) my final rec, I promise, as March is rapidly drawing to a close.
Title: Solitaire
Author:
bagheera_san
Pairings/Characters: Four, Five/Master, Six/Master, Seven, Eight/Master
Warnings: Sex, Death, Violence
Length 6393
Author's summary: AU in which the Doctor stays President of Gallifrey after "Deadly Assassin".
Why this must be read: this is my favourite of bagheera's fics, and she's written a lot of really good things, so - that's a reason to read it, for a start. the best of some really really good things. it's also very creepy and thought provoking (viz the nature of acting and changing time - and deals with the issues better than waters of mars ever did), the fourth doctor's in it (albeit briefly), which is rare in d/m fics, so are some other great doctors. it's frequently very funny, perhaps particularly at a moment inspired a paul mcgann/richard e grant short film (trailer here), that this fic inspired me to watch, and which i very much enjoyed (i know i saw it online somewhere...) oh, and you don't need to have seen deadly assassin to read it. at all. so read it.
( Excerpt )
Clicky! I know you don't like reviewing on teaspoon, but this is LJ. Go on...
