Summary: In which the Doctor is extremely, extremely terrible at courting the Master and applies his own unorthodox methods, which serve to complicate matters further, drive the Master even more insane, and lead to both of them having an unfortunate degree of familiarity with the interestingly-shaped hats of various religious authorities throughout the universe.
A/N: Unabashedly pointless crack fluff and possibly extremely out-of-character? Sorry. (And seriously praying that I've posted this right, because knowing my level of tech!fail, I probably haven't ... :/)

Beta Request For A LONG Fic

Well, I'm searching for someone who'll be willing to beta the D/M fic I'm writing for the vortexbigbang . It's set during the Time War, but turns AU when the Doctor is told/becomes involved in the Master's resurrection, and they are then partnered together. The challenge was to write 20 000 words - I think by July 26, although it was unclear, so I've just asked about it. I'm currently on 25 000. Originally it was supposed to span almost the entire War, which I have as lasting 12 years total. I planned it out. I started writing. I've come to realise it could well end up over 100 000 words. There's no way I can finish it in time for the challenge, hence me scrambling to find a good point in which to break it for the Big Bang. A sort of 'End Book 1' thing. I have a vague idea for that, but it's one thing I really need input on. I haven't reached that point yet, but I should in a few weeks time.

As for the general beta-ing. Aside from grammar/punctuation (which, as this is a 1st draft, isn't especially important just yet), I really need feedback on characterisation (it's 8 and Jacobi!Master), relationship development, plot, style, dialogue, actions scenes, and probably smut. Hopefully I haven't scared everyone away yet. I'm more than happy to take on multiple betas (if you're only willing to go as far as the end of the challenge that's fine, but it'd be brilliant if someone would stick with me to the very end). If you're interested, either leave a comment/send me a PM, and feel free to let know which aspects you feel most comfortable beta-ing. Also, if anyone fancies/wouldn't mind letting me bouncing ideas off them, I'd probably love you forever. It would be a big help.
