You may have noticed a dearth of poll and watchalong post. We're doing a week's watchalong hiatus between this, the end of Round II, and next week's Watchalong, which will mark the beginning of Round III, while I work up the new schedule and the like. 4 Fics: Time Passes, Intervention, Regression, and Impossible Things

I come bearing...all of the fanfiction I have written recently enough that I don't hate it yet, which is exactly 4 one-shots. In writing them, I have learned that my actual fandom is “The Rani” and all else is secondary –somehow she makes an appearance in every single fic. Nevertheless, the focus is always Doctor/Master, and that is what unites us, so...hello!

All links go to stories on my Teaspoon account. Er, I hope. It's been a long time since I last used LJ. 

Title: Time Passes (3929 words) 
Pairing and characters: Theta/Koschei, Four, Ten/Simm. Romana and the Rani also appear for more than a line or two, mostly to be cleverer than the boys, which hopefully means they're in character.  
Spoiler Warnings: Very mild reference  to what is probably the story-arch of new-new Who, but nothing that'll give the game away. LOOOOOOMS, but reimagined. 
Disclaimer: Everything belongs to the BBC and I make no profit excepting the joy from comments recieved. That goes for everything, btw. Um, obviously. 
Summary: Throughout the course of his life, the Doctor, ever so slowly, goes a bit mad. Being the Doctor, he manages to ignore significant clues about the role the Master plays in this madness until it's too late to do anything about it. -- This is really just 13 vignettes strung together with some personal canon that I mentioned in my intro comment (hi, two people who read that!), so it's heavily on the character side of character vs. plot.

"Tomorrow is also the day of his looming. He doesn't really understand about looms, but when he looks at books about them he feels a niggling sense of trepidation at the back of his mind, and he can't explain why."
