title: Time
pairing: Ten/Simm!Master
rating: PG-15.
warnings: Um, seemingly-happy-and-then-not. You may find yourself inexplicably choosing sides while reading this. I know I did while I wrote it.
summary: There was a word in the ancient language that young Gallifreyans were shown in the Academy, and told to work out throughout their lives.
notes: Okay, so, there's a song that I adore. It's called Time, and it's by Cute Is What We Aim For. Look it up. It's a love song, and not in the slightest angsty. This is a slight variation on the theme.

What took the Master minutes took the Doctor centuries, but it didn’t matter, because now they both knew and nothing had to be kept hidden anymore.

Okay. So we have only the one computer at the moment, so while [livejournal.com profile] brokenangelred has been chatting it up in #bestenemies, I've been relegated to the couch, which is not a bad thing as you will see.

EDIT: Enough people in chat asked me for an explanation that I wrote one out in all its overly-symbolic, sticky-sweet glory.

Well...there ya go. I've gotta say, I really have no idea how names/writing are treated in Gallifreyan. I just had some fun with this.

My grammar is pretty solid, but I need someone who's relatively familiar with both Ten-era Who as well as good dear John Simm's film Human Traffic. The first chunk is a bit over 4,000 words, no clue how long the whole thing will be. Any takers for a newbie to the comm?
