Hi, I'm bagheera, and I'll be reccing you stuff. Since I don't pride myself on being one of those fans who constantly hunt for new fic and know every nook and cranny of fandom, most likely, if you've been in D/M fandom for a while, you'll know the stories I'm going to rec. So most of these will be aimed at those of you who haven't yet explored everything there is to read.
Pairing: Ten/Simm
Length: 1158 words and many pictures
Warnings: none
Author Teaspoon: Adalia Zandra /
adaliaficWhy this must be read:
Because I think it’s one of the fandom classics (I’m not sure if this story started the trend of fangirls drawing Time Lord writing, but it certainly did its part) and one of my favourite Ten/Simm fics. It takes that old, some somewhat tedious cliché of Ten keeping the Master on the TARDIS, and turns it into a hilarious, sweet and quirky tale. It also uses multimedia nicely, because it doesn’t just incorporate fanart into the fic, but puts the fanart into photographical context. I like it best for its humour and its decidedly unromantic romance (Ten’s lack of flirting skills has to be seen to be believed) which suits this particular incarnation of the pairing far better than tearful declarations of love.
Excerpt:
Grass is red,
The TARDIS is blue.
Some sex would be nice,
Especially with you.It was oddly sweet, if looked at with Master-colored glasses. He’d used an Earth rhyme and an Earth-style heart shape as the base for the text. He’d actually written a love poem for the Doctor. Or, at the very least, an I-want-your-body poem, which, really, was rather close enough. Considering.
