blackletter
Why this must be read: Completely.bloody.HILARIOUS. Blackletter writes Gallifrey like nobody else I know, in a very, very good way: his Time Lords feel not-human to a degree that the rest of us writers can only aspire to. Exceptional, too, is the way he makes Theta actually seem like a younger version of One, which so rarely happens--not at all the innocent lambkin of some portrayals, but shrewd, brilliant, manipulative and AWESOME. Ultimately, though, this story is a must-read for the humor of the premise itself: what is it with the Doctor and evil ex-boyfriends?
( Excerpt: (short, lest I give away the whole thing) )
