At 8:00 BST tonight (approximately three and a half hours from now) we recommence the Ultimate Watchalong: All Of Time And Space with the very last part of The Keys of Mariuns, and at 8:30 BST, the Aztecs begins. REVIEW: The Edge of Destruction

(you can be a bit late, like this in your responses, fyi--no one's judging, it's still relevant/interesting)

 

 

I REALLY urge you to watch The Aztecs. It's ONLY FOUR PARTS--so a neat, tidy serial, compared to some of the 7-part epics we've been watching. It's very well written, with a great setting, and some well-crafted minor characters. Barbara is at her *best* here, and it's an intriguing episode for thinking about time travel, moral responsibility, and history, and how these work in Who. If you liked, for example, Fires of Pompeii, I'd say this is similar but better? And my GOD the Aztec costumes can be visually interesting!
 

NOTES:

* FIND/PREP IT NOW IF YOU NEED TO DO SO. Still plenty of time! 
* Our food theme is MEXICAN (for obvious reasons). Most impressive, creative, or apropos choices get mad kudos. Post pics or tell us about it!
* The drinking game will be formulated below. I will start the thread, people can contribute now or as we watch, and then I'll make a wrap-up comment with all the rules.
