You know what I haven't seen around... anywhere? Action figure photoshoots. I mean, I'm sure some of us have little Doctors and Masters about just waiting to be caught in awkward moments. =D Our next challenge should be just that. Perhaps telling a story by pictures, or just the pictures themselves. I'm not picky! Just... I hope I'm not the only overgrown kid around here. *sheepish grin*
And today's rec:
Title: Doctor Who Season Five
Pairing: Ten/Simm!Master
Length: Thirteen chapters. (I have no idea.)
Summary: Donna fixes herself, brings the Master back, visits the Time War, finds Jenny, and gives the Doctor what he needs to save Gallifrey.
Rating/warnings: Erm... R? PG-15? I always rate too high. Well, there's some language, normal-Who scary stuff, and that thing that happens when you leave the Doctor and the Master alone together.

ariaficWhy this must be read:Pretty much, anything with Donna fits that description.
This is Time Lord Donna, with additional Jenny! Awesome. Being the fluffy person I am, I like the hesitant shuffle into FEELINGS the Doctor experiences; the Master waits impatiently for him to move, all the while pretending he could care less. They're really quite romantic while kind of... trying not to be? (And they kiss without thinking when they're happy. So precious!) Also, there's Martha, and Torchwood, and Romana, and the Brigadier. And three-dimensional chess is always fun. So! All in all, as a story about fixing things, it's gentle on the sensibilities, even when there's angst.
Excerpt:"I was given a message, a long time ago,
you are not alone, and do you know how hard I tried not to think it? I knew it was you -- I
hoped it was you -- do you know how awful that is? When Martha told me about the fob watch, before you opened it, I knew then, too. I didn't think for a moment it would be some stuffy old chancellor, or someone barely out of their first century, because --" he shudders, outstretched arm taut "-- it wouldn't mean I wasn't alone, do you see? It
had to be you, it -- it always ..."
He trails off and slowly, slowly, lowers the blade. His eyes haven't yet left the Master's face.
Something peculiar is happening in the Master's chest, a sensation halfway between terror and triumph. He can't think of anything to say.
