Ok - Sorry if those 'Coupling' and/or 'Bob and Rose' fans are eagerly awaiting their time, but I can't help but notice the RTD/Moff prompts aren't working. So I am going to try and forcibly fill the table, as you liked those. Maybe.

This week's prompts are:

Chaos

and/or

Beginnings

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 100 celebration! So many new fics (and some art!) generated. Brilliant stuff.

Georgian and/or Medieval
YOU SAY YOU LOVE IT BUT YOU DO NOT WRITE (ok, so neither did I and these are my favourite periods too)

Halloween and/or Bonfire Night etc
Discussion is good. We like discussion. Perhaps the drabble/sketch challenge should be called the drabble/sketch/talk amongst yourselves challenge

Whoops - forgot again. Here's the weekly drabble challenge a few days late...

This week's prompts are:

Jekyll

and/or

Victoriana

The 100 table challenge is still open as we have not reached 100 (though we have had MANY v good entries, so thank you all). However, the drabble challenge must continue on. As you may not remember from 3 weeks ago, our theme is 'things RTD or Moffatt have written that aren't Who'. Take the prompt literally or figuratively.

This week's prompts are:

Wales

and/or

Mine, All Mine

Hello, yes. Welcome to the ONE HUNDREDTH WEEKLY DRABBLE/SKETCH CHALLENGE*! On this day, the day of the ONE HUNDRETH WEEKLY DRABBLE/SKETCH CHALLENGE** we have decided to do something different. This idea largely courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] x_los. We would like the com to collectively write/draw:

ONE HUNDRED DRABBLES AND/OR SKETCHES.

I have a lovely table that I yoinked from one of my earliest fanfic experiences. It has ONE HUNDRED one word prompts on it. Choose one - write/draw something to do with the prompt and Doctor/Master (particularly if it includes Eight, because he's the best one it's McGann's birthday today) and post it to this post, with the prompt you chose in the comment header. I'll bold anything that's been done as we go along. If two people have done the same one, I will arbitrarily cross off a different prompt that I think sucks.

Are you ready? ExpandGO!!!! )

*Although it wasn't sketch until about challenge 70, but just go with it.
**ditto.

For the next few weeks, prompts will be based around OTHER SERIES THAT RUSSELL T DAVIES OR STEVEN MOFFATT HAVE WRITTEN (an inspired/original prompt idea). Most of these series are strongly recommended by this mod, at least. (the RTD!Casanova is one of my favourite TV things ever. Watch it, watch it, watch it).

Please take the title however you wish (either as a crossover, or in this case as the historical personage, or the idea of a serial romancer, or sex-alcoholic, or compulsive gambler, or a frame narrative -weak, but I'd accept it - or whatever)

This week's prompts are:

Casanova

and/or

Venice

The historical challenge has been extended, and quite frankly I don't have any better ideas, so here are some more historical prompts! (Even though you didn't like the last ones).

This week's prompts are:

Georgian era - incl. Age of Sail

and/or

Medieval - incl. Arthurian legends

Historical prompts to tie in with the larger B_E historical challenge, which officially ends on the 19th (though later entries would be definitely allowed).

This week's prompts are:

Tudors/Stuarts

and/or

Prehistoric i.e. cave people, dinosaurs etc etc

A weekly prompt submission, here, but it's both late enough and long enough that I decided it merited its own post.  Hopefully no one minds. :)

Title: Contact, 1962
Characters: Eleven, Charles Xavier
Length: ~2000 words
Rating: T, I suppose, for a bit of language, vaguely implied sexings, and Charles struggling with his new disability.
Summary: Eleven takes a moment of his farewell tour to give Charles some advice on dealing with the evil ex.

Find it at http://shalkalaka.livejournal.com/4400.html

Sorry for the lack of drabble/sketch challenge last week - I was tired and hungover and forgot (and then continued to forget except in a slightly more sober manner). Ho hum. I bet you were all devastated.

Historical prompts to tie in with the larger B_E historical challenge.

This week's prompts are:

Ancient Egypt

and/or

Ancient Rome

Remember: B_E recs will end in December. Only two more slots available. Click here to sign up.

This will probably be the last crossover drabble prompt, since I sense that they require much larger stories than people are willing to commit to. Would we say that was true (please answer with your thoughts etc). V good Red Dwarf one just went up... It's hard to nix these things completely when people make stuff that makes me so happy.

This week's crossover prompts are:

X-Men

and/or

The Hitchhiker's Guide/Dirk Gently

[identity profile] aralias.livejournal.com
B_E recs will come to their untimely demise in the final month of this year. THERE BE FOUR MORE RECCING SLOTS AVAILABLE TO THOSE THAT WANT 'EM. Click here to sail that course, and put your mark on the line.

The friending meme still be a good place to meet fellow seafarers. New mates be adding themselves every day.

This week's crossover prompts be in order of Talk Like a Pirate Day
(in case you hadn't guessed):

Pirates of the Caribbean

and/or

The Pirates of Penzance/other Gilbert and Sullivan operettas accepted

p.s. Does this look like an awesome idea, or what? I admit I am a sucker for a funny title. Apparently Tennant plays Darwin in the film version - out sometime later this year.

Remember: B_E recs will end in December. THERE ARE FOUR MORE RECCING SLOTS AVAILABLE. Click here to sign up.

The friending meme is proving v popular. Do keep going back to it, as more people are signing up every day. If you haven't - why not sign up for the friending meme? It's fun.

You know what's not proving popular at all? Last week's drabble challenge (and you were all so excited about Next Gen...). What about these then:

This week's crossover prompts are:

Merlin

and/or

Red Dwarf

Another two fandoms to cross over with Doctor/Master (are they self serving again? Well, a little. I can't help myself).

This week's crossover prompts are:

Avatar: The Last Airbender

and/or

House MD

Good response last week! Well done all <3 Bank Holiday Monday means I totally forgot this yesterday. It's very early on Tuesday, though, to make up for it.

As always STILL NEED MORE RECCERS. Remember: B_E recs will end in December. Click here to sign up for that before then (remember to be signed in before you sign up - as it were).

Run out of clichés so I thought I'd switch to 'fandoms that could be crossedover with Doctor Who, and Doctor/Master. I realise this might exclude people but I'll try and keep at least one pretty populist and we'll see how it goes.

This week's crossover prompts are:

Harry Potter

and/or

Star Trek: The Next Generation*

*If you read my LJ you'll know this is an entirely self serving choice (which potentially means you'll be uninterested like last time I chose my favourite clichés), but I figure I might as well help myself sometimes with these things. If it didn't come up now it would come up later. Next Gen is great.

Nobody wanted last week's prompts - even though I strongly hinted/downright told you they were things I was very interested in seeing. I am disappointed, B_E, I'm not going to lie to you.

As always STILL NEED MORE RECCERS. We've just had a very successful run of recs from [livejournal.com profile] dragonofmemory, but don't feel you need to write that much! I've put myself down for what is probably about my fourth reccing period, becuase I know there's loads of great stuff lurking in the anon meme that I want to tell you about, and in this, the beloved drabble challenge.

BEST ENEMIES RECCING WILL END AT THE END OF THIS CALENDAR YEAR. It may start up again later, once everyone's had a chance to think of some new stuff what they love, but at the moment the plan is to end before 2012. There are seven slots open between now and then. Why not give one a good home. In your heart. Or something.

Recs are good. Click here to be taken to the sign up sheet (remember to be signed in before you sign up - as it were).

This week's clichéd prompts are:

Dramatic near-death confession of long-hidden feelings

and/or

Animal transformation

Hmm. Running out of clichés. Something different next week!
