An Introspective Ficlet

Sharing a ficlet here.  Because I figure the Master must have been thinking something in that brain of his in that quarry.  It couldn't have been all about the sniffing the air for the Doctor's "unique scent" (and yes, I do think that's a hackneyed phrase --- but it rolls off the fingertips so naturally).
