Title: Thin Walls
Characters: Theta & Koschei
Rating: G
Summary: Koschei can't sleep and Theta is a dick
Words: 207
A/N: Loosely based on events from the Author's life. Sometimes I like to live vicariously through the Master.
Koschei sat on his bed curled in a tight ball, clutching his head. The noise had been especially bad today. It had started in the late afternoon and carried on through the wee hours of the morning. He couldn’t sleep. He could hardly think. If it continued much longer he feared it would drive him mad.
Standing in the hallway in his pyjamas and bathrobe, he knocked on the door to the neighbouring room. Theta poked his head out and smiled his well-meaning smile. “Hello, Koschei. Blimey, you’re up late. Is there anything I can help you with?”
“If you don’t turn down that ghastly Earth music I swear I will destroy your family, your friends, and all that you hold dear. I will pursue you to the ends of time and space and make your life a living hell unless you TURN THAT MUSIC DOWN.”
“Gosh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you could hear it through the walls. Of course I’ll turn it down. There, is that better?”
“Yes. Thank you.”
“Good night, Koschei.”
“Good night.”
++++
The next night, Koschei lay awake in bed as his skull reverberated to the rhythmic bass beat of early 21st century Earth music, and he reaffirmed his vow.
