Right, this week we're back to intro posts from the dawn of time! Which as we all know is a shifting beastie in Whodom, but for this comm is a fairly fixed point. Even so, have a look-see and reacquaint yourself with your fellow fans. Start a dialogue. All you have to lose is your souls, and you're already here, so.
This week we're taking a look back at:

Hi there ^^
I'm Amandine, a french DW fangirl and I discovered the joy of Doctor/Master during series 3 of DW. I read a ton of fic post LOTTL after the series ended and the obsession started. It became my absolute who OTP and I started watching Old Skool who thanks to it. I have now seen almost all of the Three/Delgado!Master serials and a lot of the Five/Ainley!Master era.
The Sea Devils is my favourite serial and as much as I love the deliciously bonkers ways of teh Simm, my all time favourite Master incarnation is Delgado <3
I meant to join this comm ages ago but never got around to do it, so here I am :)
lovestories
Um, hi? I've been around for a few days and so I've had this page opened in a tab for ages, but, er, totally forgot about it until now. Anyway, while I was comment spamming [info]futuresoon with fic recs she directed me to this comm, and seeing as I am a slave to her whims, I joined.
I came into DW fandom because I suddenly fell in love with John Simm (no idea how, seeing as I've never seen anything else he's been in. Probably some form of Internet osmosis), and thought he looked kind of awesome as the Master. I've been in fandom...about a month, and am slowly making my way through the current series. I haven't seen any of Old Who except two of Four's episodes (Four/Romana II being my other DW OTP), though I have been kind of tempted to watch some of the older episodes.
My name is Kiwi, though I'm mostly just referred to as shizuka_blooms. I usually lurk on the edge of fandom and stay within the safe confines of my f-list in my attempt to avoid spoilers and general wankiness. UH, my contribution to fandom is making extremely sappy fanmixes (who knew Sarah McLachlan and Norah Jones worked so well for Doctor/Master?). And my favorite aspect of Doctor/Master is Theta/Koschei, which I consume at dangerous levels and rec to my unassuming f-list whenever the topic of Doctor/Master comes around.
Er, I don't believe I actually have any personal fanon (only that the Doctor writes terrible self-insert fanfic that reflect his and the Master's epic love, but that's probably just the result of reading too much crack fic).
(...and I really didn't mean to ramble that much, but apparently I only come in two modes, barely-saying-anything-at-all and mild-tl;dr.)

Hello,
I am still trying to figure out the right manners for this com. But it seems you are supposed to say "hi" here.
I have vague memories of avoiding all things Who related as a child, therefore, I come here as a complete blank slate. As a big Life on Mars fan I followed the Simm, so I suppose you could say that the Master introduced me to the Doctor. I ended up here in search of discussions to help me learn my way around. I love the old episode watch you are doing, it is really helping to get my feet wet. I have so much to learn, I will probably just lurk around for a while.
futuresoon
Well, I've been lurking here for a while, mostly because [info]selenak introduced me to you lot, and having finally wandered over to the user info, I see that you like people to say hi here, so...hi! I'm futuresoon, or Talia (but mostly futuresoon 'round these here parts), and the story of how I got into Doctor Who is long and complicated and can sort of be blamed on Captain Jack, but nowadays I have Seen The Light and love all the Doctors and all the companions and all the silly things and most of the dramatic things and, of course, uh, most of the Masters. (We do not speak of The Deadly Assassin. Also I haven't seen the movie or Scream of the Shalka yet.) I'm not really involved in DW fandom, because it is large and terrifying, so I mostly lurk around the edges and away from the comms, but this place is small and friendly and I know what you are talking about, so clearly this is a good place to be.
My personal fanon is that the break-up was Theta's fault--they were both sick of Gallifrey, but Koschei, born manipulator that he was, wanted to change it from the inside out so they could be in charge of it (because clearly they were the best people for the job, oh yes), whereas Theta just wanted to get the hell away from there and leave it alone, and it became one of those arguments that never really goes away, until there was shouting match after shouting match after accidental lab explosion due to being too busy shouting at each other to keep an eye on the experiment, and Theta stormed off.
In his infinite wisdom, he decided that the best way to show Koschei he was So Over Him was to get married to a girl in their metaphysical chemistry class, except she got pregnant/tripped and fell into a loom, and then he panicked and stole a TARDIS and ran off because commitment omg. Though once he'd settled down a bit, he came back to apologize, found he had a granddaughter, and whisked her away because he was feeling a bit lonely. He didn't say hi to Koschei while he was there. This left Koschei a little...frustrated. So Koschei spent a few centuries stewing (time being, of course, very relative on Gallifrey), dying and regenerating perhaps a bit more often than should be expected, until he realized he was almost out of regenerations and really ought to settle that whole nasty business while he still could...except centuries of bitterness had made him pretty nasty himself, and decided the best way to settle it was to make his ex pay. And we all know the rest. Aaaand goodness that was long. I do tend to ramble.
cruentum
My name's Nick and I can honestly say I don't have a personal fanon as of yet- I am still trying to sort out the canon at the moment, specifically if Time Lords can mentally control/influence without eye contact or not.
Catching up on Old Who along the way, appreciate the Old Who project on here for that since it makes me do more than just think about watching it.
I like the technobabble, admittedly. Maybe that is some sort of personal fanon. Geeky one at it, too.
