On to the drabbles! And more rhyming slang*:
This week's prompts are:
Nanny
and/or
Coat
* By the way, do not think I expect or am even suggesting you write something based specifically around rhyming or cockneys (though, of course, either of those things would be hilarious, and welcomed). This particular theme is only a way of generating prompts (trickier than you'd think).
The top word has thus far been the first part of the rhyme (traditionally the only part used by your average cockney in conversation i.e. '"It nearly knocked me off me plates (of meet - feet): he was wearing a syrup (and fig - wig)! So I got straight on the dog (and bone - phone) to me trouble (and strife - wife), and said I couldn't believe me minces (pies - eyes)...") with the second part being the meaning of the overall phrase.
