What's Up:

We want the sort of tropes slash is famous for. Not that the fic should be badly written a la the early slash which largely spawned this list, where, if you've read it, you must admit there was a good deal too much of starring soulfully into each others' eyes as the rapturous cries of birds in the wood witnessed the couples' perfect love-wrestling or something--take your vampirefic seriously! Or crackily! But these cliches have the potential to be developed into something hot, hilarious, or to be surprisingly inventive rethinkings of plots we've seen a thousand times. Any way you slice it I think it'll make for some deeply enjoyable fic.

Plus, perhaps drunk!sex or forced-marriage fic is a thing of yours. This is your hour!

A Note on Classic Slash Cliche:

The point of this challenge, in a way, is not for these cliches (amnesia or what have you) to occur incidentally. They should be devices that enable romantic or sexual development between the characters--underlying and progressing your plot and whatnot. I think it'll be more fun if you enter into the cliche whole-heartedly rather than just giving it a glancing nod of acknowledgment.
