So, this gorgeous thing just arrived in my mailbox yesterday.

Now, this is the infamous and long out of print guide that made legions of fans believe that the Master was also the Monk and the War Chief (~~he totally was the War Chief I don't care what they say I want to believe!~~). Some...well...creative character interpretation aside, it has a lot of great information about one version of the Master's history, his allies, and most interesting to me, his tech. It's got some delicious art of Delgado! and Crispy!Master too.

Would any of you like me to see if I can scan it? I don't own a scanner, but perhaps a friend has one. Or would you like it if I typed up some of the information into .doc or .txt form? This is such a lovely book, and I wish more people knew about it.

Unfortunately, it did NOT come with the UNIT file on the Master, which I'm still trying to find. Said file is a blue book with a really spiffy ink drawing of Delgado!Master in Time Lord robes on the cover.

I was lucky enough, when I obtained my copy of "Curse of Fatal Death", to also obtain a half and hour documentary at the end of it on the making of said...episode. Being somewhat relevant to our interests - and certainly relevant to this week's drabble/sketch challenge, containing a lovely little discussion from Pryce himself on the evil laugh of the Master - it must be shared with this comm!

perhaps you've been wondering why

x_los has been posting pairing guides today. or perhaps you haven't.

if you have (and tune out if not, because this is just more of the same, except More), it was for the doctor/master fanlore page, started a couple of weeks ago (and with lots of content provided) by the wonderful

melannen (who should be given the most credit for this). i'm afraid i had very little to do today, and decided to put in a few hours and a few cents. i wrote four and ten, and moved things around.

it's an opensource wiki, so if you want to edit, i think it should be edited until it's about as right as possible. fanon and tropes are particularly light at the moment, and because three and five eras were written for a different purpose they could do with some fleshing out. pictures might also be nice.

i hope it's sort of useful to some people.

Bring your favourite brew, alcoholic or otherwise, or substitute drinks for your favourite nibbles (this might be the healthier option, if you choose to drink every time you spot slash and/or get distracted by boobies). Making up your own rules as you go along is highly encouraged. Put on your minotaur-pwning cape, smooth out your beard, strap on a golden girdle and go!

I was amused. Also befuddled that there's just comments re: Mark of the Rani and Sound of Drums. Really? But...but this pairing like, INVENTED foe yay! ...Well, Javert/Valjean and Vautrin/Rastignac, but screw the French! ~~And maybe Svidrigailov/Raskolnikov...~~ And the Russians as well!

First post! Let's get stuff started off with something fun: intros and personal fanon! Go ahead and comment in this post to introduce yourself to the comm as a whole - we want to know who you are!

I'm Scone and I'm one of the friendly neighborhood mods, a fan through New Who but an Old Who fan as well (Third <3) Personally I absolutely love ALL Doctor/Master combinations, including Theta/Koschei on up.

In fact, one piece of my personal fanon involves Theta/Koschei... personally I think that while they were (obviously) having smex in Academy, it probably wasn't very good. In fact, it was probably rather awkward, too-earnest, somewhat typical teenage sex, wherein Theta tried very much to make Koschei feel good and the other boy in turn tried very hard to get Theta to want him as much as Koschei wanted him. That was kind of a complicated sentence but there you go. No whips or chains or D/s kinksex... just them and the seeds of all their amazingly ridiculously complicated issues.

So there you go! What's your personal fanon?
