To provide inspiration for a group project (more on this later), I thought I should make a list of good shalka!fic, including nigh-canon stories and pertinent Shalka-based AUs . Please add your own suggestions in comments! My recs are largely:

Long Stuff:

Verteidigungskrieg by Von: hard, well-written, nigh-gen war fic.
He Cannot Meet His Master's Eyes (Chapter 1, Chapter 2) by Von: Sensual, dark alt!Shalka!verse.
Living Things by bagheera_san: Origin-story for the Shalka-verse.
Kept Man by aralias: If Shalka!Master lived in the TARDIS for the entirety of New Who. 

The Final Battle

Over the course of the Battle Royale (with cheese), people have asked me what specifically they were voting ON. Shippiness? Quality of writing? Overall episode quality? Which brings a particular voter the most joy?[Poll #1586937]

* Ten and Simm!Master role-play previous regenerations. Plus if said regeneration walks in on them (somehow)

Did I forget to mention: * Ten/Simm, hurt-comfort. The Master somehow escapes the Time War (again) and shows up before Ten regenerates and they're both traumatized and there's comforting talk (or maybe just mutual fanboying and flailing) and then they regenerate together. ?

It was still on Unfilled when it has been, so just in case, there that is.


New Prompts:

* Doctor/Master, TARDIS/TARDIS: Sometimes, when two TARDISes love one another very much, they choose to express that love in ways that inflict sexy psychic feedback on their Time Lords. Shenanigans ensue. (This is what happens when irresponsible Time Lords don't teach their TARDISes to use protection when materializing inside a partner.)

* Five/Ainley!Master: During some Doctor stalking down time the Master has conquered a small out of the way planet and has assembled a harem of young, athletic and pretty blondes, over half of them in cricket jumpers. The Doctor comes to save the day and walks in on quite the scene. Bonus points for Five on top.

Or, What Chat Has Wrought. tulapeiwa  wove a rich tapestry of oddness and horror in chat roughly twelve hours ago, spinning a tale involving lapdancing, puns and two Doctors you would not normally associate with those two things. Here it is, in visual form, for all the family to enjoy.

What if, instead of the 1970s, Three had ended up in the 1770s? Say, at a port? With no skience to keep him happy? Well, what would happen? I do not know, but it would be GLORIOUS. This idea was originally stargazy 's and we were going to make an amazing book when we were on holidays, but we were too busy driving a big crackvan all over the place. So, for now, here is some glory.
