Title: Cowboys & Aliens
Series:Doctor Who
Number of fanarts: 3
Rating: All ages I guess?
Pairing: Slight Eight/Master
Characters: Eight, Master. An extra dose of Three and Two
Summary: Doctor Who/Cowboys & Aliens crossover sketches. It sounded sane when I drew them. I mean, imagine Cowboys & Aliens where the Doctor and the Master are dressed up as cowboys. And they're aliens. Can't someone write me fic about this? It's a fabulous idea that needs to be made into a story.

So, this doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Master (yet.  We can hope.), but given some of the past discussions around here, I figured this would be very Relevant to Our Interests.

There have been a few calls for some Star Trek/Who Crossovers.  And while it's not the Q-love child of the Doctor and Master that I seem to remember being requested, there is a comic book crossover of Doctor Who and Star Trek: The Next Generation that will be available in May, according to the site.  Yeah, you read that right.  DW and Next Gen.  Here's a small blurb of what to expect:

"Launching in May, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION/DOCTOR WHO: ASSIMILATION2 will feature fan-favorite villains the Borg and the Cybermen as they create an unholy alliance resulting in potential disaster for all humanity. Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise find themselves joining forces with the Doctor and his companions, with the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance."

It is current Who (which means Eleven, Amy and Rory), which I know some of you guys aren't too fond of (though I happen to like Eleven...), but can we really say no to something that could potentially be this epic?  And maybe if we support them and it turns out awesome, we could eventually get some Master/Q alliances.  I mean, if they're doing Borg and Cybermen, the Master and Q is the next natural combination, right? If it's not their first thought, we can always write letters to inform them of this.  XD  And if it's not awesome...  well, we can pray it doesn't occur to them, at least.  This could very well be a recipe for disaster, I'm not gonna lie.  Crossovers are hard things to pull off properly.

This has the potential to either be extremely epic or a major fail.  I'm not entirely sure which at this point, as I've never read anything put out by IDW before.  What do you guys think?
[identity profile] narwhale-callin.livejournal.com

Okay, you guys. I know with nine hundred percent certainty that this idea has been done before and is probably lame. But gosh darn it, for some reason I can't actually find it and I wanted to give it a go myself. Remember to HEED THE WARNINGS.

Also, I'm not exactly sure how kosher crossover fics on this comm are?  I promise this one is basically purely Doctor/Master, the focus is Doctor/Master, and the result is Doctor/Master, but if for whatever reason this is somehow Not Kosher to Comm, let me know, and I will make it vanish forever.

Title: One of Mine
Pairings: Simm!Master/Barty Crouch, Jr (Tenth Doctor), Future!Master/Barty Crouch, Jr (Tenth Doctor)

Go, evil Doctor!  Go!

EDIT:  A big, big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] edzel2 for giving me a new and much improved title that isn't so deceptively fun-sounding!

So I didn't intend to mostly rec Simm!Master fic, so here's one of my fav Four fics :)

Title
: A Day In The Life
Author[livejournal.com profile] roachpatrol
Wordcount: ~4,100
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Four/Time Lord!Ainley!Master.
Summary: Written for the best_enemies kinkmeme prompt: The White or Black Guardian sends the Master to help the Doctor find the Key to Time.

Why Read?: Cause it's hot and funny and sweet. Cause there needs to be more four/master fic. It makes me sad four only dealt with Crispy!Master, this is how the Key to Time series should've happened ;)

I also didn't intend to rec so much porn ;)

Title: Like It’s 1999
Author[livejournal.com profile] doctor_caduceus
Rating: R for references to sex, language, and drug use.
Pairing: Ten/Jip, Ten/Simm!Master
Author’s Note: An AU sort of crossover with the movie Human Traffic. Alters the Master’s timeline post Time War and the Doctor’s from the end of Gridlock onward, with references to Torchwood: Day One. Helps to have seen Human Traffic, which is available streaming on Netflix at the mo.
Summary: The Face of Boe has different last words for the Doctor which will lead him into the world of a young man in Cardiff at the end of the 20th Century.
Warnings: Failed dubcon if you squint.
Why Read?: Even though this is a WIP, the interactions between Jip and the Doctor are too hilarious for me not to rec this :D No matter how many times I re-read this I always find myself grinning. Jip is an awesome companion! Haven't seen Human Traffic and it doesn't really matter, everything you need to know about Jip is in the fic. So although I'm sad this isn't finished, It's still worth reading, for those of you who shy away from wips.

Title: There Will Be No Shame
Pairing: Eleven/Master
Length: 1100
Summary: Eleven finds the Master on the planetary equivalent of a Lisa Frank folder. The Master has changed forms to suit. Crossover with the game Robot Unicorn Attack. http://games.adultswim.com/robot-unicorn-attack-twitchy-online-game.html
Warnings: Crack
Author on LJ (or Teaspoon, or Prydonian): [livejournal.com profile] nonlinear_lover
Why this must be read: The Master is a Robot Unicorn, your arguments are invalid. Seriously, this is the best crack. And really well done crack. Not funny just because it's random and weird but clever too.

It's a statistical likelihood that everyone knows Baby Got Back, yes? Or the Johnathan Coulton cover? Well you/we/they may be less aware of its unholy fandom offspring (fanspring?), Baker Got Back. Yes, it does break the fourth wall, and no, it's not about the one with the scarf.

A version without the middle eight, recorded by an excellent humanoid who wishes to remain anonymous is here: click it, go on, do.

mods: don't know if this is appropriate here. It's part of the Love Letters 'verse which I've been posting here. It is about the D/M past relationship but nothing current as it takes place post-LotTL. It's also a x-over with TW. If it's not okay, please let me know and I'll remove it.

Pinch hitting! For this specifically. I believe this comes very very firmly under the category of 'inspired by' rather than 'illustrating' the fic, but hum ho, says I.
